Resistors have a set values, since voltage, current and resistance are related through Ohm’s law, resistance are a good way to control voltage and current in your circuit..

1st band = 1st number

2nd band = 2nd number

3rd band = #of zeros/multiplier

4th band = tolerance

• Kilo and mega common in resistor.

• Milli micro nano & pico can be use in other components.

K (kilo) = 1000

M (mega) = 1,000,000

M(Milli) = 1/1,000

u (micro) = 1/1,000,000

n (nano) = 1/1,000,000,000 (one trillionth)

p (pico) = 1/1,000,000,000,000 (one quadrillionth)

 

 

3. Capacitors

capacitance is measured in farads. Small capacitors usually used Electronics are often measured in microfarads

4. Diode

•. An ideal Diode will have zero resistance in the reverse direction.

• A diode is a one way Valve for pass
A diode has low ( zero) resistance in one direction ,and high( infinity ) resistance in the others direction..

• Diode will protect your Electronics. projects

 

Diode Circuit Protection

• In a DPDT switch , if polarity is wrong, so the motor will run backwards• In an electronic circuits ,if the polarity is wrong , you can fry your components.A Diode in your system ‘ll help to prevent problems.
