fingerprint based door lock system using arduino

Fingerprint Door Lock System Using Arduino Uno & Fingerprint Sensor

Hello friends welcome Back, In this tutorial I’ll show you “How to make fingerprint door lock system using arduino uno & fingerprint sensor R307.” We use arduino uno as a microcontroller & servomotor as a locking system. In this project we build a small circuit which gives you safety.
This system allows you to enter when you scan your fingerprint on sesnsor. The R307 fingerprint sensor has it’s own memory to store upto 1- 127 finger ID in it. So first we need to enroll finger ID’s  in sensor, for enrolling finger id just upload Enroll Arduino Code & Then open serial monitor & set ID location from 1-127 and then place your finger twice on the sensor because it this sensor works on1:1 ratio.
I’ll provide complete details of the project below.

MATERIAL REQUIRED

To make this project we need some Components :-

  1. Arduino Uno R3 x 1
  2. Servo Motor x 1
  3. Fingerprint Sensor (R307) x 1
  4. Jumper Wires x 1

GND – GND
D9 – PWM

Arduino To Fingerprint Sensor :-
5V – VCC
GND – GND
D2 – TX
D3 – RX

ARDUINO CODE

First Install [Adafruit fingerprint sensor Library] in you arduino IDE
Enroll Code :-
  1. 1.First Install  adafruit fingerprint library to your Arduino IDE software.
  2. 2.Copy the following code and upload to arduino.
  3. 3.Now open serial monitor, now you need to select the location of your finger.
  4. Type 1 and hit enter button. You can store Upto 1-127 finger ID’s into the sensor.
  5. 4.Now place finger on sensor.
  6. 5.This sensor works on 1:1 ration so you need to place finger twice on Sensor.
